Cardiac Rehabilitation at Alameda Center
AristaCare at Alameda Center is one of the only subacute rehabilitation facilities to
offer cardiac telemetry monitoring during rehabilitation.
Telemetry Monitoring Rehabilitation Program
Upon admission each patient undergoes
a thorough medical history and physical exam as well as an ECG and
pertinent cardiovascular exam. Based on the assessment results, the
patient is initiated into our Telemetry Monitoring Rehabilitation
Program.

During a patient’s therapy
program continuous telemetry monitoring is administered under
direct supervision of an Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified
RN monitoring heart rate, cardiac rhythms, and pertinent
cardiovascular exam

Our
Director of Cardiac Rehabilitation, Dr. Mark Niemiera, a Board
Certified Cardiologist, oversees the program and conducts weekly
team rounds

Cardiac Patients Advanced Telemetry Monitoring Program

Cardiac patients receive a
24-hour clinical cardiac assessment followed by telemetry
monitored rehabilitation therapy

The
advanced monitoring and diagnostic system interprets and
analyzes patients’ ECG patterns. This allows for prompt and
appropriate therapeutic measures to be taken by the physician

Emergency Response
In response to an emergency situation,
a STAT procedure is implemented.

RN supervisors and staff nurses
certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support are available 24/7
and respond immediately to an emergency situation

All ACLS certified staff respond
promptly and implement appropriate intervention

Fully equipped resuscitation carts including defibrillators and
life saving medications are utilized

Patient and Staff Education

Continuous patient education is
given by ACLS certified RNs and therapists, including medication
management, cardiac risk factors, clinical signs and symptoms
and activity guidelines

Staff is regularly updated on clinical aspects of cardiac
rehabilitation and care by Dr. Niemiera and ACLS certified
registered nurses
